Nope. Roll up your sleeves and start warping. It get's faster. The fun part is when the song changes time for a bridge.

Have fun.

I think he wants, as an example, to start a clip at the beginning of bar 1 but have the loop over just bar 2. I don't know anyway to do that in a single clip in the session view.

In the transport bar at the top of the screen, where it displays the measure: click on the measure number and drag upwards. This will move all playing clips forward.

If you just want to move one clip forward, drag upward on the clip view's 'offset' field for the sample.

Most likely you stopped your previous session using the spacebar which acts sort of like a pause button in this context. Instad use the 'Stop clips' button located just below the scene triggers on the master channel. This will stop all the clips so that when you next trigger a clip, only that clip (...

I kind of fancy the audiopad: http://web.media.mit.edu/~jpatten/audiopad/

Some real potential with controlling Live with an audiopad...if they were only available commercially.

By having the envelopes in session clips you get all the advantages of the session view...the same advantages that lead us to prefer the session view to the arrangement view for live work. For instance, you could tie envelopes for all 4 sends to scenes. Or you could launch envelop-clips for all 4 se...

Send Channel Envelopes

I'd like to be able to define envelopes to control the mixer controls and effects of a send channel. Ideally these would be envelope-only clips that would reside in the clip area of the send channel.

The spacebar doesn't fire clips, use the 'return' key for that.

As you've seen, aliases don't work. I wanted to use them as alternative groupings...group songs by bpm, and by key, and by mood, etc. Oh well.

You can do this in the arrangement view. You can have a track playing at the beginning of the clip and set the arrangement loop to loop somewhere at the end. When the playhead enters the arrangement loop, it automatically starts looping. That's the closest technique I know of that fits what you're a...

Well, you can select multiple clips in the session view or in the browser and drag them to the arrangement view. If select horizontally in the session view, they'll get placed vertically in the arrangement. If you select vertically in the session (or in the browser), then they'll get placed horizont...

Set the warp type to 'Repitch'. Then the pitch will vary with the tempo as it does on a turntable.

Looping requires that warp be engaged.

I think, though, that if you set the clip's original BPM to the same value as the master tempo, Live doesn't actually do anything to the clip. Might be a viable workaround.
