FREEZE would be helpful

Now that LIVE 4 supports MIDI and VSTi, is FREEZE in the plans? After completing a MIDI/VSTi track, it would be nice to FREEZE it and recover the CPU resources.

I've never anticipated a release... or beta release like this before with any other music application. But I primarily purchased LIVE 3 because of the feature set promised in LIVE 4. Without the new features LIVE would not have worked for me. Since they promise the release of LIVE by the end of JULY...

Will the BETA be released for PC & Mac?

Just curious if they're releasing the PC and the Mac versions? Will we be able to download both versions? My implementation of LIVE includes building on my PC based studio system, and performing with my PowerBook system.

You mean to tell me that we're gonna miss the 4th of July fireworks this year in the US because we're gonna be too busy waiting or playing with the new BETA?

Re: not bit rate...

bit rate will have little or no effect on time stretching quality... change your sample frequency... if you're going to be time stretching excessively get yourself a 96khz or 192khz sampler... that'd help substantially. of course if you're going to do that you might as well sample at 24 or 32 bits....

I appreciate your response. I know I'm new to LIVE. Yet, not new to DAWs. I've been working in studios for many years. I have been experimenting in LIVE for a couple of weeks now. Great software. Great solution for my live performances instead of running Cubase SX2 on my PowerBook. I have read nearl...

I would hope that it wouldn't become a MAC ONLY application. I strongly rely on the fact that I can run it in my PC based studio and my PowerBook. --------------------------------------------------- I create my recordings in Cubase SX2.2 Master them in WaveLab Port clips over to LIVE Assemble the pr...
