any sign yet of a 'upgrade to Live 7 now, get 8 free type offer?' ive been holding off upgrading from 6 for too long now, and drum racks are calling my name. if not, i guess i wait till march! I was hoping for that (it's multiple controller lanes that have been calling my name). But doesn't look li...

Complex mode now uses Elastique Pro Was that in reference to my point about mixdowns? I'm very glad to see Elastique Pro, but I have some reservations about whether that negates the need for an offline algorithm. Presumably a clip would have to be using Complex as its Warp mode to be exported using...

New warping... :D

But waiting to see how good it really is before getting too excited (better transient detection, please...)

No sign of a pro-quality algorithm for mixdown though... :?

Only 5 scenes is maybe not enough, though. Yeah, my first thought was "WOW!" Now I'm thinking "only 5 scenes?", "where are the scene and track scroll wheels?", "where are the freely assignable buttons?" Maybe it will be fantastic. Or maybe I need to start sav...

Only a lack of features that interest me.

And probably not even that, as I'm still on 6 and even Live 7 has got a couple of things I could use...

I do not know what the atmosphere is like for a Pakistani Muslim in the west at the moment and i do not know how welcoming society will be to me. Well, speaking as a Londoner, I'd say that most people in London couldn't care less where you're from or what religion you are. And most of us realise th...

Why would you drop a warped file from the arrangement back in to the file browser? Doesn't clicking save in the clip view do what you want? Or have I misunderstood?

I can't remember if I've actually tried it. But I seem to rememeber that so-called USB to parallel adapters typically give you "USB printing support" rather than a true parallel port. So I'm gonna say "probably not".

Hi,

I've been working with some other guys in London on launching a "controllerism" night. We've lost a bit of momentum lately, for various reasons, but plan to pick it up again next year. Maybe we can combine our efforts, or just support each other's nights...

I have one. But it's now in a box! That shouldn't be taken as an indictment: I just wanted a more portable setup. It's a lot of kit in one box - sound card, digital effects, analogue mixer, control surface, MIDI interface, mic pre-amps... not to mention the half-decent VSTs that come with it. It's a...

I'd like to. But I can't until it has a decent timestretching algorithm for exports. The real time algorithms just don't cut it for a final mix down.
