yah, not very versatile though i have never found a good sidechain compressor that works well with live, so i use ktrancer.dll , a free plugin that "ducks" when you send it a midi note i must say i pretty much prefer doing it this way to traditional sidechaining (ie using audio as a trigger)

is there any good way to do this other than having to put them inline with a scene? say nothing is playing, but you want to start the kick and a hihat going.. err.. is there anyway to do that? like if you could select multiple clips and hit PLAY for all of them.. maybe this is a retarded question, i...

live SUCKS for audio when compared with protools. if you want to crossfade you need to use 2 tracks and manually do it... gay

And here's a good scene for those of you who like to load up Impulse and bang away, but control clips without the mouse and keyboard. Again, works with both mK and pK. Same as the bank in my first post, except that you keep the Transport controls to a bare minimum, and use 8 pads for Impulse [Undo]...

like - which CC# is tempo?
which note is overwrite?
which note is metronome?
