Reverb settings on glitch music

Does anyone have any advice on how to add reverb to glitch music? I feel like I know my way around most of the effects pretty well to get the raw sounds I want but reverb always sounds too subtle to hear any difference or too obviously echoey. I use Oval's Textuell as a reference track but it all so...

Re: Sound Mangling - Fennesz

Thanks ever so much. I read about his use of Max/MSP and just assumed that was the only realistic way. I guess experimenting with grain delay might be my next step.

Sound Mangling - Fennesz

I have belatedly discovered Christian Fennesz and I wondered if I needed to learn a programming language to produce that level of sound mangling from a guitar? I know puredata and sonic birth are free but I have never done any kind of programming. Do I need to try and learn for such an extreme sound...

Pretty sure your mac will have all the Apple AU stuff available in Live as it is in Garageband, there are amp sims there. I still think you need external kit for a workable result. I don't know if this is good for me. It does talk about recording but it does not specify which instruments are suitab...

I don't think so. It's just a bog standard desktop Mac I have with Core Audio.

Thanks for all of your suggestions and advice. I might have a browse on ebay for some audio interfaces or di boxes as I won't use it very often and don't really want to spend too much. There is one other query I have though. With a direct inject box I notice there are different types but I have no i...

Recording Bass Guitar

Hi, can anyone help me with a simple technical question? I couldn't find the answer by searching but I suspect it is quite an easy problem to solve. Basically I want to plug my bass guitar in to my Mac (desktop 10.4.11) and record bass lines in Live. I know that you can't just plug it in and play be...

I dont believe its all that remote an analogy. The point I was trying to make (though perhaps not very eloquently) was that by releasing a piece of music, an artist has put their creative work into the world. Now to me it seems unreasonable that having been rewarded once for their creativity an arti...

Not trying to provoke an argument here just expressing a personal opinion. Please dont think I am trying to cause trouble. I believe all samples are fair game and paying to use them is wrong. If I released a commercial track (very unlikely due to lack of talent) I would not be able to demand that a ...
