Re: The Great BitWig Migration

Wow... I didn't know that Studio One had a clip launcher and an integrated modulation system with every device having dedicated Macros... I looked into Studio One v2, and I didn't see any clip launching. No one seems to be talking about it having done a quick google to find out about it :/ I have S...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration

Live could be the ideal DAW. They just need to keep everything they have and steal the right features and add them in.

What the fuck are PDCs????????????

Yay acronyms...

Re: Please Make 32-bit Bridge

I coughed up the measly money for jbridge and I find it to be more stable than Ableton itself. If it crashes, it's usually the plugin's fault. I have found jbridge to be very stable and I test A LOT of vst plugins. I'm on windows so I don't care about AUs. I also experiment with various DAWs inclusi...

Re: Videos of blending tracks on the FLY

Hey everyone! I'm new to DJing with Ableton. Can someone point me to videos that effectively show how to blend tracks ON THE FLY in ableton? Since I'm familiar with producing in Ableton, I already understand music theory and mixing songs in the same key. What I need help with is tips on how to effe...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration

I'd love to know how many professional musicians are desperate for Bitwig because the "flawed or missing" features in Live are holding them back..... not many I bet. Too busy making music! Agreed. I've done two test projects on Bitwig now, just to test it out. I like a lot of the bitwig s...

Re: Just had a demo of Cockos - Reaper

4 years later... Reaper is a total weapon. I've been a casual Live users since version 3 and I will always use it. However, I have started using Reaper with increasing frequency due to it having superior performance and track management. I can't believe it's Live 9 already and still no take lanes LO...

Re: How large is Maschine's drum sample library?

If you're really that desperate for samples, subscribe to CM magazine on Apple bookshelf and thousands of samples (usually about 2GB) a month at $5/month. Their exclusive plugins also are included in that price. They have a huge library now. You get all of that for any given mag. Each month you get ...

Re: Solfeggio Frequencies – The Perfect Circle of Sound etc.

Sometimes the more we know, the more we prevent ourselves from knowing. If edification had a vantage point, it would be humility. Would be good if someone made a Max For Live midi plugin to shift all midi data into this chord set. Speaking of chords being a limitation of the instrument, I am a littl...

Those are all reasons I've considdered, but I was hoping that there would be enough people using live that there is so much stuff that some will seep through despite all the reasons mentioned. Once I get busy with Live, I will post some stuff myself - however shitty. I'm not an artist first of all s...

PHP programmer

Hi there, I'm late to join this discussion, but I have been looking for such a site and I think it is a great idea. Currently I earn a living programming PHP and building databases. I would be happy to contribute some of my spare time since I can't really contribute much $$$. There are some pretty g...

where's the music?

Hey there, I'm new to Live4 (sorta). I've been scouring the net trying to find websites where you can download other people's live sets. It's freakin hard to search for and I've come up with zip even after not a small efort.

Does anyone know of a website where poeple are sharing their sets?

VST support in Live4

I'm considdering upgrading from Live3 to Live4. I have downloaded the trial (4.1) but I want to get an idea from others using it heavily. How good is the VST support in Live4? I ask this because other software supporting VST have mixed results in terms of VST instrument compatability. Things seem to...
