Re: *Racks* : Sweepable Crossover
Ahh, I think I get what you are saying. I'll try a Q of 0.5 and see how that goes.

Re: *Racks* : Sweepable Crossover
It's been awhile so I should test it again, but I do believe when I originally made this rack I did some phase cancellation tests with white noise samples and the filter was perfectly transparent. I'll try to test again and see how it fares.

Re: NAMM 2011 :: Ableton Live 9
That makes a lot of sense. I, for one, have not missed the yearly update. I'm still trucking along in Live 8 just fine, although I would LOVE proper session view recording of course.

Re: NAMM 2011 :: Ableton Live 9
True true. I was just thinking about the whole "record automation in session" rewrite that was mentioned long ago. New bugs of course.

Re: NAMM 2011 :: Ableton Live 9
Considering how long it's been since Live 8, I fully expect Live 9 to feature the fabled ground-up rewrite needed to allow us to record automation in session view. I can't think of anything else that would take this long. My guess (very speculative) is that they rewrite from the ground up, then rele...

Re: automation timing accuracy
In the past the response from Ableton has been that there is a choice to be made between recording/automation timing being tied to what you see or what you hear. For example, if you are recording a knob tweak into the arrange view, should the automation be based on what you actually heard during the...

Re: automation timing accuracy
Since it's been so long since Live 8 came out, I guess that Ableton is working on the fabled ground-up re-write of the software, so hopefully all these semi-related bugs will finally get fixed. If, on the other hand, Live 9 just has a bunch of extra gadgets and crap and continues to avoid the fundam...

Re: I predict that The Lounge will be the most popular section
I was right that the lounge would destroy my participation in this forum. I don't come here anymore because of the split. The lounge is too trivial and non-music related, and the music discussion section is too boring and on-topic. I liked it much better when there was a mix. Oh well, I think 8 year...

Re: Why don't macs get Viruses?
"...I never give up free bugs. I have a new campaign. It’s called NO MORE FREE BUGS. Vulnerabilities have a market value so it makes no sense to work hard to find a bug, write an exploit and then give it away. Apple pays people to do the same job so we know there’s value to this work. No more ...

Re: Why don't macs get Viruses?
^^ Not true, it is because of low market share and because the corporate world does not use Macs much.

Kensington Expert Mouse now has Win7/Vista support!
I have used Kensington's Expert Mouse everyday for years, but when I switched to Win7 I lost a lot of the functionality because there were no Win7 drivers or software for it. Kensington finally released official software to for the Expert Mouse so it is now fully functional again!
