I use Ableton mainly for visuals in combination with Arkaos, all on one laptop. The visuals run on the secondary screen and ableton on the laptop screen. So In the middle of the show (1200 people)I decided in an act of stupidity to press ctrl+alt+del to check system resources.. Big crash.. 4 big led...

To connect my windows xp laptop to max osx I use max/msp.
But puredata can do the same.

I use Live and arkaos to create lightsculptures. I create almost all of my visuals in after effects. Live functions as a sequencer and audio analyzer host. But I plan to redesign everything in Max/msp. I've just finished the audio to cc message part in max, including network support.

Get the bcmanager from the bc2000 user group. You can edit all buttons or just a group all at once. It makes live a little more easier...

I don't use Midi to create a sound but as an input to Arkaos (vj)
so combining to streams in one is not an option.

Setting the lenghth in live 7 is also not an option because a like to scroll trhough the track.

Is it possible in grouptrack to combine a wave file and a midi file,
play it at once and scroll through the group track as if it was one track?

Can you assign the loop brace function in session view to a midi controller?
