I think you forgot to put a 1 before your numbers.

$189 for Live 8 upgrade... verses
$149 for ProTools 8 upgrade...
$99 for Logic ver6 or 7 to LogicPro 8 upgrade.

NOT a good trend for Ableton.... especially in these hard economic times guys.
As a user since ver.1 I'm not to thrilled.

Well it IS kind of ridiculus.. I'm not a newbie and I did try each button... Just did it again and saw after clicking the 'manage Project' or 'manage Libray' button a 'tell me more' which gave me a brief description of what that functin does... I guess that's it. Not really a Lesson with 'content' b...

Well when I select
'File', 'Manage Files'...
I only see the File Manger gray buttons:
'Manage Set'
'Manage Project'
and 'Manage Library'...
I DO NOT see 'tell me more'...

Can someone tell ME more?

Hey - you're probably right about midi transmission speed but it all adds up though the chain... Plus midi slop is pretty big for a drummer no matter what the rig. I've used most for over 15 years. Well you think you all have problems with latency & dynamic values of midi !...
Try being a midi drum pad player - like poor lil ol me!!!!!!
REALLY SUCKS but I do it anyways because of the sound pallet I can play.

I whole heartedly agree and been bitchin about this for years!

Yup, Appleloops do sound punchier because they do transient detection...
but alas don't have beat marking.
Live loops have beat marking but don't have transient detection...
Tis a major pity one of em doesn't do both.
