Mono is definitely not dead, esp. in my number one target: sound systems at clubs and parties. I may be wrong, and correct me if i am, but i don't think club systems are pure mono, but dual mono, meaning each channel will either be left or right, not the sum of the 2, wich would cause phase problem...
