I made a utility to turn aftertouch off or scale it, it also gives you a 'modwheel' controller, so you can see it from push's device panel.

Just put an instance of it before any instrument you're having aftertouch issues with.

Re: Synth modules for M4L?
Yup, works fine, just loaded up the arp from the midi section to test and it all seems good. Cripes there's some interesting stuff in there!
Going to check that link now, thanks again.

Re: Synth modules for M4L?
Ah, I just went to re-check the Max version just in case I'd installed the wrong one and noticed that I do have a Packages folder in Program files/Cycling 74, NOT Program files x86/Cycling 74. So I'll try that! Vizzie is in there too, so I'm hopeful.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Synth modules for M4L?
I'm using 6.1.4 and there's no packages folder inside the Max 6.1 folder, just 'Cycling '74, examples, java-doc, patches, support and some dlls plus the two Max *.exe files.

Re: Synth modules for M4L?
HUGE +1 for BEAP. Great way for M4L users with little to no Max experience to create some devices by simply plugging modules together. I really want to use BEAP but I'm struggling to get it to turn up in any of the menus it should. I'm running Win 8.1 64 bit and am thinking that it might possibly b...

Balanced cables from your KA6 to your powered monitors should fix your problem.

Re: Bending Tension pitch with aftertouch
It's pretty easy to map a knob to pitchbend ok great. how? I have been looking on the interweb, but what I find is statements like this Ableton Live does not allow you to map incoming MIDI signals to pitchbend information in MIDI tracks. It would be useful, but it is not supported. http://avp.stack...

It's pretty easy to map a knob to pitchbend but it's not very playable, you really do need it to spring back to pitch. The Finn wrote:

Now if that device was mapped to Pitch Bend and not Mod Wheel, it would do the trick

Re: Bending Tension pitch with aftertouch
Hmm, sounds like it might be worth trying to make some kind of midi translator, maybe somebody already did. As far as Tension goes, I've had good results by mapping the vibrato Rate and Amount controls to one knob, then cotrolling that with the modwheel, it'd be easy to map that to aftertouch if tha...

Re: Bending Tension pitch with aftertouch
I made a little max for live utility to deal with this sort of thing, you just have to stick it before an instrument and both knobs turn up as mappable in push. One is permanently mapped to modwheel, the other scales aftertouch back to zero for those times when you find velocity triggering unwanted ...

M4L Modwheel knob & Aftertouch scaler
I made a little M4L utility that gives you control over afertouch amount and also gives you a knob to control Modwheel (cc01). You just have to put it before any synth that you're using and you can get at those parameters via Push's Device button. Hope it's useful for someone, it is for me. http://w...

Re: Your Push Experience
I've had Push for about a week now and at first I wasn't sure if I'd made a mistake, I couldn't really see how I'd gained anything over just using a midi keyboard. I found the pads really hard to play sounds like piano notes without double triggering and have always played drum tracks just fine usin...

Re: What is the Swing knob for on Push?
I guess we should be thankful that you don't have to browse the 'groove pool' on push 8) I think we should ask for the Push approach to swing to be expanded to all of Live. I really wish we COULD acces the groove pool from push, I use it extensively. It'd be pretty useful to have both, or even just...

Re: leslie cabinet
I've had good results with the MDA Leslie, also Guitar rig's Rotator. If you have Max 4 Live, you might be able to get close by using two of Robert Henke's Doppler plugins, racked and split so that one does the upper mids and tops, the other Bass and low mids, then use Live's Dynamic tube plugin to ...

Re: Trying to find that perfect distortion
Studio Devil do some good high gain amp plugins, there's even a really capable freebie there if you register, it just emulates a high gain Marshall, but it does that extremely well. http://www.studiodevil.com/products/british_valve_custom/ http://www.studiodevil.com/images/products/bvc/bvc.png I've ...
