I saw Orbital @ Glastonbury on the weekend. It was quite an emotional experience, having not seen them before, and having grown up with their music through the 90's. that said, it felt like quite the bookend on 90's electronica. the third summer of love doesn't really feel much like a new beginning....

you should dither when changing down a bitrate.

there should be no need to dither between plugins or other processing internally if math is all 32bit float. just at the last stage when outputting 24 or 16 bit.

you know, back in the day you could have 16 different devices on a midi port.

that means you can have 32 different devices controlling live.

maybe you just need to think about your configuration sideways instead of top down.

no dropouts. no latency problems here (yes there is latency, no it's not a problem).

fuck the subjective testing, even though that is really the only thing that matters.

someone take two tones, mix them in both cubase and live, say at -6dB each and compare the rendered files.
