Re: world music scales + alternate tuning scales + microtonal??
a while ago i made this app that would allow for custom oscillators and wacky tunings in simpler/sampler, but i think i let that domain expire. i'll try to find the app later tonight and host it again and update the link. there was a discussion brewing http://createdigitalmusic.com/2008/11/12/free-u...

Re: Abletons Unprofessional Authorisation system-Online/Offline
this reminds me a bit of the gun control debate in the states... good intentions, but ineffective in practice. the only people who you are affecting and inconveniencing are those who follow the law (legit buyers). people who use cracks won't need to authorize the software. if the goal is to thwart t...

Re: Abletons Unprofessional Authorisation system-Online/Offline
this just bit me this week. luckily it was during the week and customer service "granted" me 2 additional unlocks the next day. if it happened on a weekend i had planned to make music i'd be a bit more pissed. i am however upset that i am at the whim and mercy of the company to install sof...

Re: programmatic creation of midi clips
aaahh. thx. i was hoping there'd be a free way through the live api. looks like i'll have to find a .net midi library to roll my own midi files and bring them in as clips that way.

programmatic creation of midi clips

Re: Free- Native Instrument goodies (Reaktor 5 player included)
Q: Can I save my own presets in the REAKTOR 5 PLAYER?
A: No. However if used within a DAW host, storing your DAW project will also store the instruments current, customized sound and will recall it completely at a later date.

Re: Anyone recommend a good Audio Interface for around £150-£200
i recommend the saffire series. I thought there were some issues with the focusright and the new mac firwire ports. can't comment on mac. i own saffire le on pc and it has been the best interface i've worked with. it is definitely firewire, so i'd investigate the firewire port issue more if you run...

Re: Akai APC 40 / Ableton Live 7
so is there any more news on this? looked like a few were having problems with apc 40 + live 7. i'd like to know if the apc will work 100% with live 7 before i buy it. i'm not opposed to downloading the latest version of 7.x, but not ready to upgrade to 8.x yet.
