That's not my considered recommendation, but given the other's you're looking at the Behringer stuff is cheap, you could get two, and you'd have easier access to more parameters.

not as far as I know within Ableton, because some keys are hardwired to certain functions, like, +, -, Space

google Autohotkey, that'll sort it out for you (or I thin k on a mac you can do it within the OS somehow, wouldn't know about that sort of thing though)

does the output above the master channel definately say it is stereo? probably yes, but in Prefs you can change things about. Does your computer have the soundcard setup as 5.1 surround? this might cause this.
