Re: Problem Live 8.05, Fireface 800

I'm experiencing the same things, with Live 8.0.9 and a Fireface. Have you found any solutions to this problem? Hoping RME will release another driver to address this ... -Luddy RME posted a new driver a week a go, but that didn't solve the problem yet. I'm sure they are working on it. The reason t...

Problem Live 8.05, Fireface 800

Hi, I'm having this problem with the combination of Live 8.05 and the RME fireface 800. When i'm going out of sleep mode and put in my Fireface so that it's mixer starts up and then I start up Live, Live won't start up. It hangs seriously, I cannot quit it not even force quit it. I have to force shu...

Some Really Nasty Crashes with Live 5.01

After buying Live the final version on the evening it came out, I had two two days free time which I wanted to devote to do some intensive Live 5 exploration. The first day I had to make some scetches for some new tracks for an upcoming album. This is where Live really excelled and where I used it b...

Live 5 looses Korg Legacy presets saved in Live 4.1

Right after buying the official release of Live 5, I opened an older song (saved in Live 4.1) which had a wavestation padsound from the Korg Legacy. In Live 5, the wavestation had patch number one (the one where it starts with when you insert the plug-in). Anybody elese the same problem? Greetings M...

I made a special controller patch on the Nord; a few mixer modules, enough for all the knobs on the modular and ready!

Let's not forget, the iBook is a consumer laptop. The AlBook are there for the more demanding pro's!
But that little machine now outspecs my TiBook 550.......for far less money (but a 12" screen off course) That's how it goes in this hitec world.

Hello everybody, Well, I'm also thinking of buying a PC laptop using it side by side with my Macs (which I love off course). Also mainly for Live and reason. The only thing is, I'm a Machead and for me it's really confusing what hardware I should get. Things like chipsets, processortype, memory type...

Has anybody seen the video of the new powerbooks on the apple-site.
In the part where BT is raving you see a 17" powerbook running Logic next to a screen running Live!!!

You guys made it to the top! :-) (But I already knew that)

Does "save as self-contained" improves fragmentation

I'm curious, and I will check this out later, if "save as self-contained" will improve reading of audio files while there's a new folder with all the used audio files created then. I'm asking this because I'm having this strange thing with random drop out of sound with some audio files. I'...

Hm, strange.
Maybe it's the OS? I run OS X 10.1.5 (you probably also).
But the way Stephan explained worked OK?

I hope you can use Spark as your editor now.

There is a way without the Terminal. Go to the Spark application. open contextual menu (mouse+ctrl) there's an option to show the contents of the application. In there you see an alias of Spark ME. Copy this to where ever you want it. (I' ve put in the Live application folder). Now you can select Sp...

In the British magazin Sound On Sound there was a couple of months ago a test of several Firewire harddrives with Macs. The iPod was also tested, but what I can remember is that it's performance wasn't that good.
