Re: observing Launchpad focus area (red ring)?

I want to kinda do the opposite... I want to change the focus ring of my launchpad by pressing track select buttons on another controller (so when I select a track it becomes the leftmost track in the launchpad's focus ring). Ideas?

I created a folder called LIVE TEMPLATES and in it I have a bunch of sessions saved with channels set up for different instrument recording. For instance, I have a drum template set which contains a channel for each drum (kick, snare, toms, overheads, etc) and a master bus for the drums. I am then a...

very cool idea. It still annoys me that I had flstudio on my parent's shit dell nearly five years ago and could do things in it then that I can't do now on a pricey mac with Live. (Of course, I am mostly very happy and talking about obscure things... but still).

-0 It would be nice but if it's a matter of priority I'll take other things first for sure. Midi assignments are SO easy in Live that you can physically record a fade from a controller in nearly the same amount of time it would take to draw a nice perfect curve even with new tools, and dare I say......

+1.

I like the idea of 8 to start and then you can add 2 at a time. maybe the macros could resize as you add more, or you could scroll them like you can in a drum rack.

"envelopes" plus "racks" plus "chain selector" = solution.

read about the chain selector in the live manual. It's very powerful.

meh

I wanted this for a long time, but I swear if you can adjust your paradigm in how you look at loop recording, having each pass on a new clip is actually great. So much flexibility, for instance the ability to adjust the levels of each loop, to apply effects to each loop, also to stop and start each ...

this applies to Audio Units as well. I want to be able to work up an idea in Live and then run that idea (usually a beat or loopy type thing) with live in Rewire slave mode to main main DAW application.

+1 for sure.

my two cents: cross-fades, groups, takes

I hope that Live 8 will include a set of features they might title the "Power DAW Package" or something of that nature. I want: 1. CROSS-FADES in arrangement view (like in DP, Pro Tools, etc.) 2. MULTIPLE TAKES on a track (like in DP, Pro Tools, etc.) 3. TRACK GROUPS (like in DP, Pro Tools...

clip tempo extraction

I've been seriously looking into this since seeing the kid beyond video, but there's one feature for me that is making me hesitant... Live NEEDS to be able to extract a tempo from the first loop recorded. Like on the Boss RC-20 (or the Jam Man, or other modern hardware loopers). On that pedal, you r...
