thanks for responding. I know how to play them. It's just that I can't set the clips to trigger correctly. For instance, I'll assign one sample to a clip and then I'll assign that clip to a key on my midi controller or keyboard. When I trigger it the clip flashes and plays once initiially, but after...

I have been trying to figure this out and have succeeded on two occassions, but dont know what i did. im setting up an audio track and a midi track after that. i put a couple of samples in clips in the audio track, but cant get them to play correctly. i think i need to change the settings of the cor...

mapping a midi key range to a single clip slot will allow me to play it back at different speeds or is that like a form of multi-sampling?

how do you make a clip in impulse play at the same speed regardless of what pitch it's at. I thought before version 6 you could consolidate them in the arrangement and they would stretch. does anyone know?

I must say, I had no need using freeze with Live 5 with my G4 Ibook. Now with the racks and stuff, I kinda need it alot and it is definitely a benefit to have until I get some more ram or a new machine.

does anyone using the axiom instant mappings in live 6 know how to get the device parameters to move smoothly, as opposed to glitchy. i.e. in simpler i'm trying to get sample start to go from 0.00 to 0.01, .02.... as opposed to 24.6, 49.2 and 73.8. which it continues to do

yeah I'm trying to figure it out myself. I've gotten some of the devices to work, but it seems like trial and error and when they do the device controls don't move smoothly, but rather in intervals.

do these changes to the preferences only apply to live 5.2.1? I tried making them to Live 5 without the upgrade, but to no avail as sampletank continued to crash. all I did was change the vst window setting. If I'm missing something, please help me out. Thanks

then I'd assume you're good, I didn't purchase directly from Ableton. I don't think it makes a difference, atleast that was the impression I was given
