Yeah i thought it was just a distribution arrangement - one clear indicator of this would be the Live bundles which include non-M-Audio controllers. I would eat my trousers if M-Audio were selling their competitors' products. Well maybe not eat them, but I'd still be surprised.

Ditto. I don't know what the answer is for midi, I am still looking for something that isn't Live and isn't Cubase, but when it comes down to it, I never feel very motivated to learn a whole new program from scratch anymore, unless it is immediately obvious how good it is. Have you tried out the fre...

Re: Ableton has to........

...always problems. I am tired to hear every day the same problems,If you guys dont like that then you have to find another software to work with it.I also work with Live 4.0.4 but i have problems too.Why Ableton did not make it perfect?... Ouch, you better have your asbestos underpants on, i think...

I have a paypal account and would definitely do the right thing with it, but I wouldn't expect people on the other side of the world to trust some guy on the internet. one idea I had was to contact the organisations (though I suspect they're pretty busy right now) and somehow sort something with th...

dont worry mate - you're a Live user - and this is pretty much the "Live Users Aid" - ( that might have to be working title while we wait and see if the upper echelons of management will let us use "Ableton Live Aid" Cool, Ableton Live Aid is definitely a name that's begg...

What an excellent idea! Happy to be a part of it and I can take care of the space requirements for my own contribution if it's gonna be a web-based thingy. However I don't actually use Live for final arrangements; thought I should mention this in case it undermines the concept at all...I am a "...

I got a box of chocolates, you know the kind with the runny creamy flavoured goo in the middle, my favourite. And although they were delicious, once the novelty of those has worn off I will probably treat myself to a compressor or 2, probably the ART Pro VLA &/or the FMR RNC Really Nice Compress...

XP SP1 or higher can handle fat32 volumes larger than 137GB, which is the largest than can be accessed reliably by previous OSes. I currently have 2 FAT32 160GB drives and a 120GB (all unpartitioned) running fine under WinXP SP1. There are definitely plenty of advantages to NTFS, but since 9/10 peop...

Well I've been thinking of picking up an RNC, so maybe that's another reason to. There are a few options I'm weighing up, since I'm also on the lookout for a mic pre. Anyone got any comments on these?... For around $600-700 you can get an RNP & RNC in a styley Funk Logic FRT-8373 combined rack m...

Well, science degree or not, you say it with enough conviction that I'm inclined to go with it. :) So I'm thinking, rather than resampling the clips, I would be keen to add a bit of warmth on playback ie. after the soundcard's output. Maybe run it through a vca compressor or something? What were you...
