Yeah, what a good idea to have a plugin that can do that, never would have imagined! I couldn't tell entirely how it works from their site though, eg. how it handles the rendered data when it comes to saving/reopening a project, but it's definitely worth investigating that one further, cheers.

Expect "render in place" most probably in the next Live r-evolution 8) Mind though that not rendering the efx from a mixdown view is more interesting 'cause you can adjust levels all to the end ... However, if that feature were to be well-implemented, further tweaks would still be possibl...

Very interesting, I can't see any reason why they should be so much cheaper, unless they are a more established type of product so there's more competition perhaps?! I'm all in favour of using things for something other than what they were intended for and it looks like you got a hell bargain there ...

I've got a Remote25, and I think the actual keyboard itself is wicked, and it has very high quality construction. I have no experience with their customer support, but for those of you who are curious, here are a few things that could be better: there are still a number of quirks in the firmware at ...

Or you could buy a USB2/Firewire caddy and mount a regular internal 7200rpm IDE drive inside it, that way it's upgradeable when HDs get bigger or faster, and this is probably a cheaper option too. It certainly was when I bought my caddy earlier this yr.

Hi, in FL Studio look in the options menu for "enable midi remote", make sure that's checked. Also, hit F10 and check that you have the right remote control input activated. As far as live crashing is concerned, maybe you need to exit the rewire slave (FL Studio) first. I don't know as I h...

yeah i think you might need to do a bit of tidying up of your beats outside of live, then bring them back in - eg. the slicer in fruityloops, steinberg recycle, or zeroX beatcreator. Anybody know any other things that can quantize audio like that?

There have been some good points made here, i think a big thing that seems to have changed from the days of Beatles, Hendrix, Floyd (to use names already mentioned), is that although they were pop, they were appealing to the highest common denominator, rather than the lowest (think reality tv shows ...

RME's stuff is fantastic, but inevitably is at the higher end of the price spectrum. I recently ended up purchasing the (seemingly seldom mentioned) Digigram VXPocket 440, which is a Cardbus (aka PCMCIA) card with four analog ins, four analog outs, headphone out, SMPTE IN, SPDIF I/O. Try fitting all...

I've been researching this topic for a while and ended up making some purchases but I'm still quite amazed that portable digital recorders are so scarce - basically you want the audio equivalent of a digital camera - and look how many gazillions of cameras there are out there, and hardly any decent ...

Re: new sound card: echo indigo dj

if you guys didn't already know, echo is releasing a derivative of their indigo pc card sound card with 2 independent stereo outputs called indigo dj. they're also releasing the indigo io, i.e., with one stereo output and one stereo input. they should both be around 99 bucks, and if it's anything l...

theres a multimedia ASIO driver in Cubase and Nuendo, with wich you can control two Soundcards, use all outs and ins, this we would need for live then... Sounds like what I was imagining the other day - a virtual audio device, that would act as an intermediate layer between the software and the act...
