It will depend where the bottleneck is in your system - if you are running loads of tracks and can't stream clips any faster off the hard drive then you will not get any more ttracks, but you will be able to add effects and routing. You might find that the size of your finger is bigger than the size of the clips on screen so it will be difficult to be sure which clip you will trigger as you touch the screen.

You can map keyboard to midi with Junxion (www.steim.org) it should differentiate between two keyboards so you can assign midi to one and not the other - download it and try it. before you get it shipped check the size of express card slot - there is expresscard 54 and expresscard 34 (this is what there is on the macbook). I have only seen firewire cards for 54 - but companies are working on shrinking to 34
