he did that beat with existing beats with siultaneous notes already. he just cut it up in to small samples using the CTRL+E function and arranged it that way.

he just presses the left and right cursors while in clip views.. it nudges the brackets towards the left/right without changing the length of the loop

since we're already in the topic of midi controllers, i'd just like to ask if anyone has accomplished or tried to make his own midi foot pedal? im quite interested in making one for myself (16 switches with led indicators 1 LCD Screen) and was wondering if anyone could share his insights or comments...

i own an m-audio trigger finger and i used to launch recording tracks. my problem is that when i record, i have to push and hold down the damn pad or else it'll stop recording and start playback. if its allready in impulse, then the only think that you have to do is go to clip view... go to Envelope Tab and Select the Slot Number of the hi hat and the paramater ENVELOPE DECAY... that should do it ...
