what i actually want to do is while doing it live, it record a phrase then when i press a midi pedal, live's going to copy the phrase to another track and then transpose it to just ONE pitch which is pre-defined...

im not really a specialist here but perhaps you could try to put a GATE tool/effect on the tracks and slide them to the peak level of the boost sound so you don't here the sounds you don't want to hear. The catch is that you have to make sure that the volume of what you play/record will not be as lo...

yeah i know that... you could do it by using rotary nobs or sliders but i need to trigger it using an mfc... so no rotary knobs are available... perhaps i'd be more successful in using a non-live vst... what's a good transposer vst? any ideas? thanks

Transposing Audio Clips with MFC - does it exist?

hi, i'd just like to ask if there's a way you could transpose an AUDIO clip to an exact pitch (i.e. 4 semitones up, etc.) using only a trigger and not pointing my mouse over the Clip Tab?. I've also tried using dummy clips (which was stupid) realizing that it only works with FX envelopes. i was thin...

ive tried doing it before and i'd say its easier said than done... perhaps its in the way i programmed the live set?

thanks elec that gave me some ideas... but what boggles me is how he keeps it in time in such a way that the clip is precisely cut and it doesnt mess the song up... is there a way that live helps to accomplish such a task? thanks
