Re: Drum Rack - separate outs, is this possible?????

Open up the rack in session view, right click and 'extract chain' for the items you want to individualise. Then route as required in the new tracks. Ahh.. thanks for that! I still think being able to send from inside Drum Rack would be more logical, but this works. Damn I've been recording single t...

Drum Rack - separate outs, is this possible?????

Pretty much what the subject line says.. Is there any way to send samples from Drum Rack to individual outputs of my RME soundcard?? I like the functionality of working in Drum Rack, but what if I want to send multiple channels out of the box to mix through my external mixer?? I've got no choice but...

Re: Video with Ableton Live

Ah.. ok..
Thought it was me, I spent about 4hrs downloading different converters, dropping in different files types trying to get it to work..
Thanks, I'll try a different app!

Re: Video with Ableton Live

hi there, I've just been messin about with video in Live 8, but I can't get any video to export?? Every time I try, it only renders the audio. Can anyone give me a little advice on how they have done it? All I'm doing is running a 15 second audio loop on one audio track, then dropping a MPG-4...

Ok, I just worked out that this problem is only happening on my current project I'm working on. Checking other one's and they seem fine?? There's no immediate differences between each project's settings that stand out and the main out is definitely in stereo. I can pan left or right from the master ...

Panning a channels sound??????

Hi there, I simply need to pan a sound all the way to the left (or right). I use the "track pan" on the channel and pan it hard left. You can see the signal in the volume meter of the channel panned all the way to the left, but in the master volume meter the signal is still being sent to b...

No good, just comes up with the little black no smoking kinda symbol(but without the ciggie).

The "option+drag" only seems to work for duplicating the sample in a track and "Alt+drag" for copying effects over.

??

I'm still on 5.2.2. is this possible in Live 6?

I'm having a similar problem to Dibudda with duplicating tracks. However I think people are getting confused by what he (and myself in this case) mean by track. Not the the actual audio track(sample/loop etc.) in the arrange window, but the track the audio sample is in, how do you copy it as it is, ...

External Synth MIDI problem???

I'm trying to get live to recognise my Juno synth as a master keyboard controller for live's synth/sampler and also to use the Juno's synth section. I can get Live to receive messages so I can use Live's simpler/impulse but I can't get it to play the Juno's sounds. Here's the setup Roland Alpha Juno...

I had been wondering about the same thing for a while. I don't have a mini controller yet, but this will be the first thing I'll try when I do. How tight are the movements between bpm's? If I was in the mix with a record with a string section and I didn't want to slow or speed up the record, is the ...

G4 Dual 867 Optimization Settings??

I know there's been plenty of posts on the obvious audio drop outs and cpu issues with Live, especialy on an older machine like my G4. But could someone tell me what are the best (or close to best) settings I should have?? I've tried playing around with plugin buffer's and the like, but it doesn't s...

Thanks for all the respones, problem solved!! I knew I could plug my bass in directly to the sound card, but the way everything is setup it would be way to much hassle to do that evertime I wanted to record a bassline. Totaly understandable though, regarding reducing unwanted noise. I've now got the...

Record live bass in while using metronome???

This is probably pretty basic but I can't seem to work it out. I'm running a G4 dual 867, Live 5.02, Audiophile 2496 soundcard, behringer mixer, bass guitar & preamp. I've layed down some beats and want to record in a live bassline. I've got my bass going through the preamp into a mixers line in...
