hey, Definitely try deleting that preference file like sweetjesus recommends. You might also try deleteing the com.apple.MIDI...... preference file, that caused another person a bunch of problems which were immediately fixed upon deleting it. i responded in a little more detail on the controlAid for...

Soundflower works but does not allow analog audio input when used with Live, unless I misunderstood how to implement it when I checked it out. Jack works but does not work with Native Instruments synths... So Soundflower is great if you're not doing live sampling, Jack is great if you're not using N...

they have it listed at zzounds for 499

in terms of the 10 presets, it sounds like you could use that engima editor thing to just upload a new batch of 10 during your gig. Unless you're planning on using it without a laptop that is.

Alot of the laptops that don't use mobile processors have farily loud fans that come on almost immediately upon startup. The link above looks like it might be a good way to avoid this, as they state they minimize the acoustical noise given off by the laptop, but as a general rule if you go with a la...

if you're on a Mac, checkout http://www.charlie-roberts.com/controlAid it is designed to work with live and has a special mode called clipFill which lets you use a single MIDI note to loop through a user defined range of clips, either for recording or playback. Basically you press a note to start re...

not to beat a dead horse in this thread, but controlAid really is ideal for this situation.... send your keyboard / controller into controlAid and you can then assign any knob/fader on your MIDI device to select which channel it is transmitting into Reason/Live on. This would allow you to quickly se...

controlAid 1.0b - convert mouse moves to MIDI, more...
Hey y'all, 1.0b of controlAid is out at: http://www.charlie-roberts.com/controlAid mouseMode allows you to use your cursor and entire screen as an x/y MIDI controller. You can define three different sets of cc messages, each set has one cc message for the xAxis and one cc message for the yAxis. The ...

the next version of my software controlAid will allow you to choose the channel your controller is sending MIDI on using one of the controllers knobs. Basically, you select the channel with a user defined cc message. This is going to be a huge update / shift in the way the program works. Hopefully o...

Yeah, the FCB sends noteOn, CC, pgmChange, analog switch signals... it's crazy. I did however make controlAid to work with the FCB1010, and I think that it improves the flexibility of using any footpedal with Live A LOT. That's really what it was designed for although it can do some other cool stuff...

wait... I think I misread your post... if you want your keyboard to be able to play into Reason and then when you're done also have it available to trigger clips in Live, controlAid won't help. some controllers will let you send your cc messages to different channels. You could setup the CC messages...

If you're using a mac, the 1.0 version of my program controlAid (free, Mac OSX only) will allow you to split note and cc messages to different virtual destinations. so you could just send cc messages to live, and just send note info to Reason... http://www.charlie-roberts.com/controlAid The 1.0 vers...
