I just started at channel 16 cc#0 and filled up presets. Once I used all the CC#s on channel 16 for presets 1 and 2 I copied those presets over so I only had to change the channel, not the channel and the cc#. I hope that makes sense. But Machinete's already done the work for you. I did the same th...

@ DkungFu - you mentioned usign more than one preset. Can MIDI channels of each preset be altered (thereby allowing more than one to be used in the same Live set)? yes - I have 16 presets for 16 different midi channels - files are available at the covert operators website; downloads section. That's...

This might help with EQ4 settings - http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=274523.

I currently use EQ3, as I can't seem to get the same effect with EQ4 for DJing purposes.
I must study.

I find that if you get lost using the alt + arrow keys to navigate the GUI, a quick TAB to and from the Arrange view seems to default back to the clips in Session then you can just use the arrows.

@ DkungFu - you mentioned usign more than one preset. Can MIDI channels of each preset be altered (thereby allowing more than one to be used in the same Live set)? Sorry for the stupid Q, but I'm fairly new to MIDI and haven't found anything mentioning that in the BCR literature. -- As for my set-up...

Oh gosh, this is so darned difficult, my inpirations have been so eclectic that I don't know what to write! [dry humour emoticon] In the beginning - 'Voodoo Child (slight return)' - The Jimi Hendrix Experience then 'Too Drunk to Fuck' - Dead Kennedys, recent 'dance' epiphany - 'Where You At?' - Derr...

First pub gig (London)

I played my first gig with a vinyl DJ friend of mine swapping tracks. Of course, I'm still buzzing with pride, but it was great fun (when it worked!). We played at the Jolly Gardeners in Lacy Rd, Putney. And I managed to slip 'Land of the Lost' in. Top! <edit> sorry, I forgot to mention that there m...

Was cool, but I was looking forward to the 'showcase' of the Kenton AB Mini.
No show.

I'm not sure if this will help, but a couple of weeks ago I picked up an Edirol FA-66. There were problems with it when trying to monitor a mix and when recording a mic in (both in Live), despite my G4 being optimised for Live (power settings, RAM, free HD space etc). The very helpful assistant at t...

I was gonna ask about comparing the Presonus Firebox to the Edirol FA 66 . The Edirol has MIDI support and the power supply is rated lower, so I imagine it would draw less from the laptop. Only drawback to PCMCIA is that you can't use it with a desktop. Dunno which is inherently better. I'm ready t...

I have just returned from Berlin and although I can't answer either of your questions, I can recommend another club called Weekend. It' on the 12th floor of an office building and has a great view which is made all the more spectacular when the sun rises behind the DJ booth and cuts across the club!...
