Clip Protect

I'd like a function where you can select certain clips to be locked and protected so they can't be deleted... ...this interests me because right now I'm writing a live set that has some preset loops and MIDI messages being sent to various plugins and external hardware...I use the template as a rehea...

Re: Updating audio file name with clip name.

Sometimes you record a clip before or after naming the track. The clip names are automatically based on the track name or sequence name by computer default. So when I change the name of the clip after its recorded, I would like the option for the filename to change with it. Becuase if i name "...

Clip Notes/Pre-Naming

I'd like to be able to type notes or reminders directly into the clip cells. This would be useful for building performances on the fly. Say for example on track 3 scene 11 I'd like to put a note in the cell, e.g. "Yeah Sample" so it would remind me which sample and record to cue up and sam...

Select Warp Mode Per Audio Channel

This would be useful to me (and I'm guessing many others) as I'm working on a set that involves performing my original compositions by building audio loops from turntables and softsynths. For example, say I'd like to record beats from my turntables to channels 1 & 2, Scratches to Channels 3 &...

Hey Lars,

I read somewhere in the Logic manuals that it can never be a ReWire slave, Logic is ALWAYS the ReWire master.

Re: Live looping - changing phrases while adding layers

I posted something like this in the general section but maybe this is a better place. Forgive me if I’m adding clutter. I’m new to Live (demo version) and trying to see if it will work better for me than my foot pedal looper. I’m learning a good deal through old post but would appreciate any feedba...

I'm pretty sure that Live stops a note that is MIDI mapped from playing a VST softsynth in a regular fashion, in order to avoid confusing situations. That's very true...but in case U were answering to my previews post U didn't get it right...I said that I use a dedicated midi in for the fcb1010...t...

Re: Looping possibilities?

Hi Derek, Funny you should mention the Behringer, I purchased one a couple of weeks ago and have finally programmed it to suit my needs. Actually, I've just made a post about it in the "Tips & Tricks" section. But to answer your question, yes, Live will do what you want it to do. To gi...

The Definitive Guide to Programming the FCB1010 for Live

I always knew that Live was awesome tool for real-time performance and composition, but it wasn’t until I saw Realtablists’ Albeton Live 5.2 set [Whoah!] and DJ Enferno’s videos [O-M-G!] that I decided that I should stop procrastinating and buy an FCB1010. I work as a HiTech specialist in a music ch...
