Re: Novation iPhone / iTouch Automap App
Finally got the thing working. Make sure you download and install newest Live, Automap, and Firmware(if using SL). Then reboot. Also, go to Settings>MIDI in Port & MIDI out Port and make sure the are both set to Automap MIDI. This thing is still clunky. Setting up templates will be a ton of fun....

Anyway to clear all of the preset templetes and start fresh? I tried creating a new templete with the editor and hitting the upload button before assigning anything and it didn't work. There are a lot of templetes that I don't use that I would like to just start fresh with. Is there a reset or quick...

It sounds to me like you are sending more than one copy of the MIDI clock out of the SLs USB MIDI Port (sending MIDI clock twice will result in a doubling of tempo). If you have the MIDI clock coming from a device via MIDI, you can route the MIDI in port to either of the USB MIDI ports of the SL in...

Any one utilizing the MIDI interface on their SL? I 've got an unresolved/ignored issue. Its prolly just a general midi question. I'm accepting tempo on port M1 on the SL from my DR-670(drum machine). The tempo leaves the SL on Ua. The tempo on the 670 is set to 176; Live recognizes it as 352. It do...

I think the only time I've have a preference problem is when I boot without having the SL connected. Other than that it's always worked as I've expected. I'm thinking that this might be a Windows problem? Another thought, before Live had automap, you could DL a templete that you needed to initially ...

Question to you SL owners: On the automapping mode the right side of the SL is taking over the mixer functions in Live, right? Are you still able to limit the range ot the slider (the same way you can do it on midi mode)?? I don't see why not. You should be able to tweek it with the editor or in th...

One other thing
Not sure whats going on here, but if I change the keyboard octive down to -3 or -4, not sure-doesn't matter, if I go too low all the notes start sending the same cc# and it solo's the mixer in Reason. Or mutes every thing. I'm talking about all audio/input channels.
Anyone else?
Work around?

I was just thinking about using the drum pads tonight. I was thinking it'd be a great way to assign a set value to each pad for the same cc# that I'd assign to an OSC tempo rate. Then just tap through different tempos to accommodate transitional changes in the song. I don't use Automap. But I've bee...

I don't know what THE program change knob is. Do you mean the knob to change templates? Yes, it not only changes the templetes. If you push down on it.... it changes its function. If you push down on it twice, while in templete mode, you can change the patches on the soft synth you might be using. ...

Battery
I've loaded my SL with 4 rechargable C-size batteries. Do I charge them by leaving the SL in Usb mode. And whats with the PSU max/PSULow recharge settings. And why does Novation sell a 9v adapter and yet 4 C-size batteries are less than 9v? Also, I get a message on my screen when I run the SL with t...

Hamtramck, eh? I just departed from my 3 yr stay in Hamtown 6 months ago. How's it going out there? As far as the Detroit Area Live User Community goes, I'm up for it. Also, there's a little know community of Live user's at www.audioracle.com . It's not strickly Detroit, but 75% of us are from in an...
