do you know if this is the recommended setup for a fw hd - fw interface chain? i just got my fw 410 yesterday. it runs fine so far but i haven't tried it yet chained to my lacie 80 gig hd. would it be best to put the audio interface at the end of the chain?

this can do *everything* (well, almost) - and it has "real" analog oscillators + filters (and lots more!).

same here, i'm also using live 2 in a live band setup and yes indeed, every time i hook up the emi i have to go into audio midi setup to select the 6 channel output. this is clearly not an ableton live issue - apparently the emi defaults to 2 stereo outputs at 44,1 khz when you hook it up, since i a...

G3 noisy output!
i played some shows with a G3/400 PB but i had to stop doing it because the output was very noisy. at some shows i really got some strange flanging/modulating sort of noise. apparently the problem is the biggest with the 'pismo' pb's (like the one i was using). i started using an emi 2/6 and it's be...

funny - i always thought a goober was a musician who has an agent who spends the whole day contacting every possible music soft/hardware company to get their artist some free goodies in return for an appearance in a commercial... ;) "oh my goooooooood. this is sooooo amazing.... awesome. when w...

Re: $
i'm terribly sorry but this is one of the most moronic posts i've seen on the entire internet lately. if the money you shelled out for 1.0 'was worth it' and you have a problem with paying extra for the 2.0 upgrade there is a very simple solution: don't buy the upgrade and keep using 1.0. since you ...

hey greg, i remember reading something about this. apparently the newer versions of the plug-in can be controlled by midi (according to the vst 2.0 standard) and therefore the program recognises them as instruments plug-ins rather than fx plug-ins so that's why they don't show up in the plug-in list...
