Midi from Logic into Live via rewire?

Hi all, I just got a new macbook pro and am having problems getting midi from Logic into Live via rewire, though I'm having no problems getting audio from Live into Logic via rewire. In Logic's environment I've created a new internal rewire object, the name came up automatically as Ableton Live whic...

Should I buy a used 1.83GHZ macbook pro or a 2GHZ macbook?

Hi all, As I mentioned in another post I'm moving to another country in 2 months. As per I'm wanting to get a new laptop (I'm an avid mac user) as it might be a while before i can afford to upgrade again. I've found a used macbook pro 1.83GHZ with the stock options for the same price as a (black) Ma...

I have a similar rig, albeit with two laptops. I've decided that it's worth the investment to have a molded case made, complete with locks, handles and big-ass rollerskate wheels at one end, so I can lug it around myself. It'll reduce my setup time from about 20 minutes to 1, which is worth a bit o...

ATA flight case question

Hi all, I'm a laptop based musician and have the assortment of small items that one tends to gather (read: I've sold off all of the big stuff and narrowed my gear down for portability). I'm going to be moving out of the US to SE Asia in 2 months and as per have to think about ATA flight cases for th...

Tiger is far more CPU-friendly than Panther, once the unnecessary features are disabled. It feels that way so far, I've got both spotlight and dashboard disabled and everything feels just a bit "snappier" than in Panther. If I can just figure what's going on with the Audio. I'm using a Em...

Thanks all for your replies, I'll pass on kissing the old ladies and the mickey mouse shit, and but going to try tweaking various things to see if I can get the problem to go away. If not I'm going to roll it back to 10.3.9.

I've got a gig of ram in here so AFAIK it's not a ram issue.

Audio problems is Os X 10.4.6?

HI all,

I just upgraded OsX from 10.3.9 to 10.4.6 and now all of a sudden I'm having glitches and distortion in my live sets even with a huge buffer size.

Are there any commonly known problems with 10.4.6 as far as audio goes, and even more important, any fixes?
