Am I right in thinking that MfL only works with Live 8?

If that's the case, are Abes and '74 liasing over who's testing what?

Either way, I'd like to be a tester for 8.

Beta Testing

Where do I sign up?! I've just finished testing the Lemur and LiveAPI, and the results so far have been jaw dropping. I can finally remix on the fly! Live 8 and MfL really seem to push the boundaries that much further now, but I really want to put it through it's paces properly so I know it will be ...

I'd be up doing a gig, I'm into electro/breaks/trance/punk, and do a lot of remixing on the fly.

This is prodigy remix performed using Live and my Lemur.

To be honest, I'd love to check out Neb live!

Prodigy Remix using Lemur + Ableton

I did a bootleg remix (with Spatts) of a Prodigy track they stuck on their website a couple of months ago. I thought I'd break my remix down so I could perform it live. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=yr-tQPzEYYg Listen to it while you can before Liam Howlett bums me hard for cocking up his track! Fee...

Deadmau5 still sucks rat turds though IMHO. We also had a situation where his manager didn't want other DJs using Live recently if they were on the same set/bill. This is a load of bollocks. It's a story that came from 1 of the forum members who won a competition and was given restrictions on how t...

I get the feeling that the beta testing of 8 will start in November, based on the promotion they're doing with Operator. Part of this Dj Interface is based around code written by Cycling 74, so hopefully we'll see some sort of seamless OSC integration.

My new LiveAPI + Lemur template in action!

The audio is rubbish and the video quality is a bit cack, but this video gives a rough idea of what's coming with the new version of the Lemur software. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWgojEMm7mk I've nicked the clipnaming and clip firing code from the original LiveAPI template. There's some other c...

Re: ableton drop out, hd, etc

@HYPR + Patch I don't think this is down to the CPU, Memory or even the sound card (tho I would ditch the M-Audio piece of crap) The trouble is hard drive speed. Laptop HDD's tend to run at 5400 RPM, normal PC/MAC HDD 7200 RPM. The faster the disk speed the faster the seek time, and when you start ...
