Re: A LATENCY COMPARISION CHART
I dont have to run a test project intended for Live 6 or 7 to know this works out fine, and I dont believe there would be any point of posting non-functional resulst. For reference I'm using a project with 16 channels, 2 instances of alchemy, 1 instance of Tassman4, 2 instances of audjoo helix, 2 FM...

Re: THANKS ABLETON FOR THE FREE RETRO SYNTHS !!!
Don't be so aggressive boy. Oldie sound is oldie. If you have to make it sound new you'd better to use other sound to work effectively. And also I didn't get any vein of new sound just from their sound demo on the web site. They are too thin comparing to recent sound. Niche audience will be excited...

Re: THANKS ABLETON FOR THE FREE RETRO SYNTHS !!!
I don't complain but its sound is soo old-fashioned and for outdated music :? Just for feeling nostalgia. Your statement is rather ludicrous, and frankly if you limit audio to concepts of "new" and "old" I figure you dont manipulate audio all that much. Stating the obvious here,...

Re: THANKS ABLETON FOR THE FREE RETRO SYNTHS !!!
Yeah, ten times hooray for Ableton and Puremagnetic both! I actually subscribe to the latter. Its not often such a fine audio gift is given away like this. Enjoy your well deserved place in the sun Abe. 8) The software is rock solid for me these days. I also bet lots of people will get Live before t...

New midi devices ports being created in Win7 @ new usb ports
Hi guys. I have a question that has bugged me for a long time. First of all, like indicated I'm using Win7. Secondly I have an SL-MkII and a Launchpad that gets swapped around here and there on my laptop and stationary pc. What happens is that each time I move a device to a different usb port it aut...

Re: if live 9 is not 64-bit...
I dont care too much about 64-bit either, but I would like it to be included to stop the constant yammering about it :D Personally I love using Live 8 so much these days, that whatever 9 brings (as long its stable) will be just an added bonus. I think its due to having gotten plenty of good plugs to...

Re: Best gear teaser EVER!
Yeah. Like the nod to bladerunner in particular, and this is really well done. However, I dont like any "boxes" and this one seems to be no exception. Live coupled with a SL Mkii, a few more buttons and knobs and a bunch of good plugs is all I'll ever need.

Okay. Finally an apps' changelist that DO mess me up, being the Max newbie that I am. I guess I'll just consider it "better than last version"hoffman2k wrote:http://cycling74.s3.amazonaws.com/suppo ... 5_1_5.html11olsen wrote:can someone please point me to a changelog?

Re: Just a tip regarding Novations Stepseq and the launchpad
As I got a pm indicating that my instructions may have been too unclear, I'm posting additional step by step info here: 1) drop stepseq into a channel in Live 2) click edit button 3) *important* let Live detect the launchpad. It most likely will the moment you open the editor. 4) go to patching mode...

Just a tip regarding Novations Stepseq and the launchpad
I'll make this short. I've been quite annoyed by the fact that I've had to click edit on the Stepseq patch from Novation before my launchpad is discovered. No more. I edited Stepseq in Live and saved a custom version of the M4L.api.SelectControlSurface.maxpat called M4L.api.SelectControlSurface_laun...

Re: THE NEW BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9!!!!
Wow. Good job IP.
I just hope the really good ones wont disappear amongst the many. "Favourites VST folder" is the best one imho (oh, and 64 bits its kind of a natural step these days, like many have stated before).

Re: For launchpad owners who dont like Automap popping up (Win)
Glad to see that so many seem to have found use for this workaround. Now go make something great! ;) PS: lyovino, it depends what you want really. I have my knobs and faders covered with my SL Mk-II, so I dont need another huge brick (like the mpc40) to fill my room. The launchpad does what it does ...
