If I could figure out a way to run Live on my mobile phone I could be happy.

Even the freebie ZebraCM is excellent and I use it a lot. I wish I could get the money together to get the Zebra license.

A few years ago I would have been able to buy it without even a blink; but times are different now.

Just speaking for myself, obviously, the present condition of 8.0.4 is not preventing me from doing anything I need to.

Re: Is Live 8 soild enough to be used on live gigs?

...Coming back to my selfish point of view: Should I stick with Tiger and 5.2 Or move up to 7 or dare go to 8??? And if I move up to 7 or 8 or full blown 8 suite, assuming lighter use, is Tiger on 10.4.11 w 2 gig RAM a bad idea? eg move up to a new computer? No offense intended, please believe me.....

Re: quick message about disappointment

Well, being ignorant has the advantage that I can go ahead and post this without knowing any better. And I apologize if I am talking about things the original poster has already researched/discounted/tried. As far as I can tell, 95 (99? 97?) percent of Live users are completely content with its stab...

Re: FFF ;-) - Is Live 8 really worse than 7 and 6?

Hi All, I am in the game since Live 3. I had problems...but only a very few and ABLETON fixed it ( most of the time) with the next update. I had a few chrashes with 8.02, but now I am fine with 8.04. I am on XP3; Quad 6600 with an UAD Card, using Sylenth; Alchemy; Speakerphone; Imposcar...and NI Ma...

Re: Monetizing your Music (or Art)

Don't bag on Jason, he makes good points. When I first started composing in 1994 I told myself that I was going to actually make music for sale and the hobby should pay for itself in 5 years. Well, that never happened but I'm still doing the music. Because I clarified in my mind that it's just a hob...

Re: New CM Guide for Ableton Live 8

Maybe this one will be better but some of the previous focused issues have not been so great for the price. And they may have changed this as well, but in the last few years out of the 4.4 GB of samples on the DVD-ROM, half of them are just repeats of samples sets or parts thereof from older issues....

Re: Live 8.0.7 issues

This entire track was made with the free WW2 Live sample pack http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hylbI1e2S14 OMG that's sick!! But because I shelled out the duckets 1 month ago Ableton won't let me have it!!! I'm so tired of getting creatively and financially fisted by Ableton! I'm so tempted to start ...

Re: Does Live 8 Support Sysex ???

Where does it end? Live also does not have a means to edit individual MIDI events, like MIDI sequencers have. Then when you have that you need a means to select MIDI events by characteristic, and replace or interpolate events with different characteristics. Basically, there is an endless list of fea...

Re: How do you change Reason instruments with Live on stage

Reason don't work that way. It doesn't respond to "patch changes" and never has. If you have a bunch of patches you want to use, you have to set them up as individual instruments and/or combis in the Reason rack and change the destination from your Rewire host.

It's called giving you enough rope to hang yourself As long as they like you and you get your work done then no one will say anything about your internet use. But if you upset them for any reason or they need to reduce headcount you can be sure those web logs will be used against you. Ha, I think y...

Re: I wonder how long until esafe blocks ableton.com...

Possibly. It certainly cured me of staying a little while longer each day to check my email and such.

Meanwhile I've found a way to set up a little streaming media server just for a handful of friends in the office.

Wasting time? Heck no, "professional development."
