Legality of samples

Some magazines such as Future Music, Computer Music and Music Tech supply CDs with a bunch of samples on them that the mags claim you can use without licensing. Sometimes there is a restriction (e.g., non commercial use, etc.) but see the magazine for details. In my opinion if you use all of that so...

You can't be serious

tymoney wrote:where is the manual?
But I'll bite anyway: Look in the box that comes with the product or upgrade. That's where I found my copy. And it also appears to be until the Help manual as "Read the Live manual..."

Hope that helps.

Always the same shit, we start sharing views, trying to be be as honest as possible and it ends up with idiots bashing some specific country or insulting one another... Really makes me feel like never coming back on this forum again. Nah, this forum still has a pretty good signal/noise ratio for an...

Hey, if you want attention so bad, why don't you just go into a public forum and make an ass out of yourself?

Oh wait, you already did.

OK, Never mind.

Another opin about DJs and "cheating"

I used to be sort of snobbish/condescending about DJs. Partly because I don't go to clubs so I never saw what a good one could do. Seeing the DVD "Scratch" really opened my eyes and I have a lot more respect for good ones now. It is too complex a scene to make a simple judgment; but first ...

stickers gripe

Give Ableton a break...they've only had one product to sell (hooded sweatshirt and beach-ready tote bag aside). I like my tote bag and my Ableton Mouse Pad! As long as they keep including stickers in the box I'm happy. :) :) :) I just can't seem to win on the stickers. In the Live 3 box, the sticke...

All my work is based around Live these last couple years

I first thought I shouldn't toot my horn here since it's self promotion...but then I thought, maybe this is on topic since I now produce all my tracks using Live (3, just upgraded to 4). I also use Reason, Sonar and some other tools as auxiliaries but all tracks over the last 2 years are primarily b...
