AVX2 with some 4th generation chips...
I know ableton support would be able to answer this the best but I'm sure they are absolutely inundated with craziness right now and thought it might be worth getting some opinions here. Just reading about AVX2 support requirement for live 12: https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/1297133867714...

Zoom type apps with multi-channel audio/other solutions...
Thought it might be more appropriate to ask about this here. In the process of piecing together a podcast and have a few hurdles to overcome technically. Not only will guests need to use something like Zoom, but my co host will as well. I know zoom can output separate channels of audio to a recordin...

Latency by the numbers...
Hello all! So I recently got a Circuit Happy MI:2, which is a Ableton Link enabled eurorack module perfect for syncing/clocking my modular setup to Ableton. It works VERY well. I was just curious though. When I initially set up my live set, I usually have an offset on this link device of -30 ms. It ...

Re: Eurorack analog sequencer into Ableton Live via ES -9 CV tools
I have done this exact thing but I cannot tell by your description what you are struggling with. Can you be a bit more specific? One thing I could think of that might be an initial hiccup...in the ES-9 configuration tool, all inputs are set to block DC which is essential for control voltage getting ...

Re: Major Problems With Live 11
Just wanted to share/bump this again for the sudden cpu overload/spike people. May have been missed in the fray of dude promoting his blog. I'm not saying it will work for everyone, but it might...and it's worth a shot at least. Was having some cpu issues and other nonsense as well. Oddly enough, th...

Re: Major Problems With Live 11
Was having some cpu issues and other nonsense as well. Oddly enough, this cleared up my issues (even on a desktop PC). https://apteryx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041367673-Disable-USB-Power-Management-Selective-Suspension I went from crackly clipping and cpu spikes shutting ableton audio down ...

Re: Fed Up With Mono Sequencer
If you are automating device on/off, you may be getting hung notes that never received a proper "note off" from mono sequencer since the device may be disabled before sending the note off.
Ableton's device on/off really messes with Max based sequencers in a few different ways.

I want to beta test
Live Eleven
Heh.
No seriously though. Curious to see how max will be able to interact with comping. I may have missed it somewhere, but will we be able to apply FX to each individual take?

Re: Real Time MIDI Quantize
The problem with doing that is you would have to predict the future and know that there is a note that's going to be late (not early) that needs left alone. How would you differentiate between a note that is late and a note that is early? I suppose you could set up a window of time. Say you are tryi...

Re: Unstable
To claim M4L is stable is laughable. It’s a chemistry set in a kindergarten. It’s never going to be stable. Interesting analogy. Agreed that a kindergartner with a chemistry set will most likely not achieve stability. However, a college graduate with a chemistry set can achieve great things with no...

Re: What drum processing techniques are used to make drum swing work?
Not sure if you are into max for live or not, but there are some great drum sequencers out there with excellent swing algos! K-Devices Autobeat is a great one. This is probably a very simplified explanation, but very basic swing is all about slightly delaying even numbered notes. Here's an example w...

Would like to throw my vote out there for Orange Tree's Evolution Strawberry. https://www.orangetreesamples.com/products/evolution-electric-guitar-strawberry They have some other nice guitar libraries as well. They actually have it set up so a traditional keyboard player will still sound as if they ...

Re: Max GUI frozen
It seems a lot of people are having issues with the latest versions of max standalone installs with Live.
As of right now, the currently bundled version of max is 8.0.2.
Maybe try reverting to Live's bundled max and see if the problem persists?

Re: Binkbeats Max for Live plugin issue
The quantize function is a live.text object basically set up as a button which does not automate like you might think. Maybe try drawing short automation triggers like in the image below at the points which you need to trigger the quantization? May have to work out the timing a bit. https://i.ibb.co...
