Re: Using Touch Osc App...help!
It's not immediately obvious, but you'll need something to translate between OSC and MIDI - something like Osculator on Mac OSX. Instructions here: http://www.osculator.net/wp/2009/01/27/use-your-iphone-or-ipod-with-ableton-live/?n=Main/IPhoneOSCulatorAndAbletonLiveTutorial . Or here for using Touch...

Re: Glastonbury 2009 What do you think of it so far?
Blur seemed to be playing through their set at 90 miles an hour, with much more of a punk sensibility than either the album versions or previous live sets. I found it a bit annoying. They *have* got good tunes, but they seemed to be just blasting through them, ticking them off the "greatest hit...

Re: The Song That Never Was - Imogen Heap remix
Sorry - absolutely no offense intended. I'm delighted and flattered that you both listened to it. Seriously. What I meant by that remark was that on this occasion I think it's a good thing to stop and leave the listener wanting to hear more, rather than flog an idea to death... Which is what I usual...

The Song That Never Was - Imogen Heap remix
Hi, Imogen Heap offered up vocal tracks for "The song that never was" as part of Twestival. I downloaded the tracks and remixed as part of the Record Production Month (RPM) challenge to create 10 songs or 35 minutes of audio in the month of February. The result is this tune. http://soundcl...

[amo] Reverse button in Looper assigned to MIDI
I've submitted an bug report, but is anyone else having trouble getting the Reverse button in Looper to work when it's assigned to a MIDI note / instruction? Works fine when assigned to a KEYstroke. Funnily when assigned to MIDI, clicking it with a mouse does nothing.

[amo] Clicks at start of loops using Looper
Playing around with Looper in 8b11 last night I found I occasionally get clicks at the start of loops. Can you implement a short fade-in and fade-out on the samples to eliminate these? A few msecs fade-in / out of samples should ensure click free looping, which is pretty essential.

I've created a couple of Live sets (Live6) which work with Mobius. In both Mobius is on a return track so you can choose how much of the signal gets sent. Note that there is a MIDI track which takes input MIDI commands / notes and sends these to Mobius. Mobius 8 track - takes a single input audio si...

:D No worries - happy to help. It's worth reading the documentation for Mobius, since a lot of the functionality is quite deep. The EDP itself offers huge flexibility for looping (not just record / overdub / undo) and Mobius includes pretty much all of this and more. Functions like Multiply are very...

I have a number of tracks that I've spent time filling in genre and adding other useful comments into the ID3 tag. In NI Traktor it's possible to browse and sort through tracks using these tags and it's something I miss in Live. Would it be possible to browse ID3 information? I can't seem to search ...

For looping with Ableton, try either Mobius for PC (www.zonemobius.com) or sooper-looper for Mac (http://essej.net/sooperlooper/). I know Live handles looping, but both of these freeware plugins offer Echoplex (EDP) like functionality - Record, Overdub, Multiply, Undo, Insert, Substitute, etc. You h...
