I haven't tried it yet. But Ableton Tech Support have recommended that I try it, apparently Live will use the Quicktime MPEG decoder instead of the Windows Media Player one, if it's there.

go post the details of your bugs in the bugs and problems forum. ableton hasve a history of actually responding to customers who have specific problems. in fact, there are even regular updates released that have bug fixes, wow! .lm. You're right. Maybe I should be a bit more positive about a software package that cost me £300 and is, because of the bugs, incapable of doing what I bought it for.

Dude, I'm having the exact same problem. A lot of people are and Ableton seem to be doing f*ck all about it. Apparently, if you convert your MP3 files to wav, then it won't do it. Unfortunately, my laptop only has an 80GB HDD and doesn't have the room to convert the 100's of MP3s to wav. Some DJ too...
