yes, open the clip in the clip editor thing (double click). make sure you can view the envelope toolbox thing (the dots in the lower leftish area of the screen). Scroll through the list of envelopes you can make. you cant add or remove effects, that would mess up your audio anyway (clicks and stuff)...

sounds like your having non-live related issues with your computer. Mine is an amd uh, I dont acualy remember the number off the top of my head. Its under 3ghz for sure. I can run hundreds of effects and have had like 40 instruments going at the same time. Overall live seems pretty good about cpu us...

I have been stock piling single cycle waveform samples and making most of my synths/pads/basses in simpler with a few effects lately. It isn't what I would call a 'powerhouse' synth. But its simple to use, and other a slight prefrence for envelopes with more than an ADS and R, and maby finer detune ...

every effect will sound better (closer to how its meant to or something) at higher sample rates. Even if that means raising a sample rate higher than what the initial thing was sampled at. Let me try a stupid analogy. Think of a chain, a chain with more links will go around a corner alot smoother th...

I do what I was talking about (consolidating) in arrange view by dragging the clip to arrangement view, consolidating, than dragging it back to arrange. If you just rename a clip, and it started out as like, an audio file somewhere else, its the easiest way to rename the clip _and_ the file that I'v...

all you need to do is find a nice eq to use. look for a free vst/au whatever. tere are tons of eq's. you need to make 2 sends, or rig 2 audio tracks as bus's whichever youd like (bus it if you need to automate the compression, like turning it off for your intro). both effect tracks have all other tr...

cant you just rename the clip (controll-R) ? if its an audio clip, click on the single clip (_not_ a group of clips, do it one at a time) and consoladate them (which is what, controll-J I think?. Then when you save the file (save as self contained, like you always should! harddisks are so cheap). Th...

not a real tip, just a vst (pc) for you from... me
I needed to do something in a track I'm working on. This was a spinoff. It isn't realy exciting but it can make drums sound neat. 3 bp filters ring mod (with themselves by... well... stuff) and a built in hard clip. The wet mix has a loud sweetspot in the middle because I dont feel like fixing it. T...

I have the whole beatmapping thing down, but I always read through these tutorials to see how other people are doing it. This one is especialy good. Anyway, one thing I did that I dont know if anyone has talked about here (recently) is go to /whatever_your_live_dir_is/Resources/Misc/ and change the ...
