i think you could use bome's midi translator to convert the uc33 midi to keyboard strokes.

yes, open the clip in the clip editor thing (double click). make sure you can view the envelope toolbox thing (the dots in the lower leftish area of the screen). Scroll through the list of envelopes you can make. you cant add or remove effects, that would mess up your audio anyway (clicks and stuff)...
