It doesn't matter how simple it is, any form of live performance video support would be amazing.

Ms Pinky has an SDK available for anyone.
They've said before that they'd love to be integrated into Ableton, and they're ready to do what's necessary from their side. Way more basic + cheap DJ software has been able to implement Pinky support, but Ableton must be too good for it.

Why can't this be done?

No video mixing, no effects, just that the last video triggered would be playing. Next one to be triggered takes over.

I can't imagine why this is any harder to program than the way the video is implemented right now.

3rd party apps are springing up. If Ableton doesn't do this, someone else will. Of course the Ableton way would be better, so get on with it!

Check to see if QuickTime can open them alone. Some codec support was disabled recently--first flash in 7.3.1, then Sorenson and possibly more in 7.4. It shouldn't affect you because of the mpeg4s you're using, but who knows. Almost every time Apple updates QuickTime and iTunes it's either bad news ...

Makes me want a video Simpler. You could make stuff like this all day long. Maybe that or something like it will come out of the Ableton/Cycling team-up?

I'm really glad the Stanton SC System thing isn't that cool

Look out, Traktor, MixVibes, and Deckadance kids:

Ableton kids, keep looking.

Seems like they would've had to write some plugins to get the deck control & extra features working in Ableton. Apparently they didn't.

This could even come out in a 7.x release, no need to keep us in suspense another year.

Cats on ALDJ have the 1D, at least 2 I think. One of them got an email from A&H saying that since the 1D's meant to sit alongside a mixer A&H didn't think you'd need the 1D for fast cuts & such, so it is actually designed with a laggy, smoothed-out response from the controls. Not sure if...

Use multiple chains within the rack. You can map individual level controls for each to the macros. Think of it as adding a return within the track that gets added back in before it hits the master. Put the filter on the "main" track/chain, then yr delays on the "send" track/chain.
