Tom Shopper (Nuremberg)

Tom Shopper has been working in clubs behind the turntables since he was eighteen years old. He began playing classic hip-hop, but before long he was playing and producing minimalist techno and house. His first releases came out in 2009 on the Bavarian label Beatwax, and more releases will follow in 2010. In 2007, Tom began to teach DJing in the Europe-wide VibrA School of DJing, which is a part of the well-known Modern Music School. There he enjoyed an apprenticeship as a skilled teacher for groups and singles. After two years, he was one of the most successful DJ trainers and earned certification as a Platin VibrA Teacher. Since Ableton Live version 6, Tom has used and taught Live in Nuremberg and Regensburg. Tom teaches Ableton Live basics, using Ableton for DJing, and the first steps for producing your own tracks. He gives periodic lessons by the week in small groups of 2-4 students or in one-day workshops with classes of 5-10 students.
