Stelios Vlachakis (Athens)

Stelios has worked with electronic music since he was a teenager. He has been involved in various aspects of the audio industry, including post-production for films and commercials, recording, mixing sessions for various indy groups and f.o.h. mixing for a Greek electronic rock band called Cyanna. After discovering Live 3, he started producing techno and trance tunes, and he began using Live as a DJ tool with version 5. Today he concentrates on drum & bass and IDM. Stelios has worked for SAE Athens since 2005 as a supervisor, lecturer and, most recently, as coordinator for the Electronic Music Production course. Live is the main software for the EMP course. The lessons are mostly focused on production and performance techniques using most of Live's instruments. Class size is typically 15-20 students. The lessons include theory sessions as well as individual practical workshops.
