Damiano Rocco (Padova)

Damiano Rocco began making music as a singer in punk, hardcore and metal bands. In 2000 he started working solo using synthesizers, samplers, turntables, a CD player and hardware effects, producing tracks that ranged from ambient to noise music.

Damiano began working with software such as Reason and Ableton Live in 2004. In 2007, he earned a degree in EVTS vocal method at the Conservatory of Padua. From 2007 to 2010 he was part of the art collective Grumi, which organized several cultural events and seminars on performing arts.

With Ableton Live, he made soundtracks for films and performances, and music for theater, short films and websites. Currently Damiano works as a solo artist as S.A.Y.!, producing tracks that combine elements of music ranging from experimental electronic to techno.

In 2010, he founded Antenna Lab, a training center focused on creative techniques based in Padua, which offers courses on software, hardware and audio-visual production techniques. At Antenna Lab, Damiano teaches Ableton Live classes for beginners and seasoned users. He is also available for one-on-one customized lessons.
