SAE Institute Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain)

SAE Barcelona was established in 2004 as the second SAE campus in Spain. Since then, the school has grown in both size and educational offerings, requiring an expansion of its facilities in 2006. Currently SAE Barcelona is located in the Poblenou district, surrounded by other companies related to the audiovisual sector.

The programs offered range from Audio Engineering Diploma, Music Business Diploma and Electronic Music Producer Certificate to Digital Film and Animation Diploma and most recently, Bachelor Degree in Audio Production. In 2008, SAE Barcelona was certified by Middlesex University as a Degree Center.

The main philosophy of the school is to guarantee students a strong theory basis along with hands-on training, personal lab and studio time, the possibility to relocate to any SAE campus and to acquire a recognized diploma worldwide.

The most outstanding aspects of SAE Barcelona are its internationality, its highly qualified staff and the high-end equipment, placing the school as one of the most important centers of audiovisual education in Spain.

Ableton Live is included primarily in the Electronic Music Producer Certificate, a course focused on musicians and DJs (professional or amateur level) who like to produce their own music and experiment with technology. However, Ableton Live is also recommended for students enrolled in the Audio Engineering Diploma course or any other student who creates music with the computer. Thus, SAE Barcelona launches its "short courses" on Ableton Live, in order to fulfill the students' needs to gain knowledge of one of the most potent and efficient software applications for music creation.
