Ableton User Group Austin, two February events

Austin's Ableton User Group will hold two events in February: Sunday School on February 21, and Ableton Hookah Night on Thursday, February 25.

The Sunday School event, hosted by Jimmy of Lux Divon, will feature two workshops, one led by Francis Preve and one by Justin Williams of Bernard Noir. Francis Preve has been a principal sound designer for Ableton since 2004. This role has encompassed every aspect of sound development, from creating waveform data for use in Ableton's sampling/synthesis tools to developing custom effects presets. Justin Williams is a producer and improvisational composer/performer affiliated with Wooden Eye Recordings.

The meeting on February 25 is the Ableton User Group Austin's monthly hookah smokin' jam. Performers will include Lux Divon, Synesthesia, Trypset and [i/o]. Feel free to come early to check out the setups and talk with any of the performers about how they use Ableton Live.
