Ableton Live workshop at SAE Miami

Ableton lead clinician Huston Singletary will be at SAE Miami on June 1st to present a special workshop. Huston will introduce Live 8's new features, including new warping capabilities, new effects, the groove engine and Looper, a powerful new recording effect in Live 8. He will also touch on the new QuickTime feature for film and multimedia scoring enthusiasts and the expansive new sound design capabilities and instruments in Suite 8. Huston will also demonstrate the exciting new Live controller, the Akai APC40.

SAE Miami is an extension of the international SAE network (more than 50 locations worldwide). SAE provides the understanding of theory combined with the hands-on training required for success in a chosen field. All students in the Audio Technology Program at SAE Miami are exposed to a wide variety of professional recording studios and technologies. The EMP (Electronic Music Production) course teaches students the artistic aspect and live performance capabilities of Ableton Live and other software.

The workshop is free of charge, but RSVP is required. See below for details.

Huston Singletary

Huston Singletary is Ableton's worldwide lead clinician and US trainer for Live. He also works as one of Ableton's sound designers and can be found conducting tutorials and instructional videos on Ableton's official YouTube channel.

In addition to conducting workshops and clinics for Ableton in both the US and internationally, Huston also co-coordinates the Ableton Live certification events on top of a steady regiment of workshops and events at educational institutions and dealers.

Apart from his instructional and demo work, Huston has over 15 years of studio recording and production experience with multiple DAW platforms.
