User Group NYC - Max for Live introduction

At the next User Group in New York City we will have a specialist on hand to introduce Max for Live. Jeremy Bernstein will present this amazing new product and demonstrate some of its capabilities. For Live users with little or no Max experience, the presentation will provide some insight into the structure and use of Max, demonstrating how quickly and painlessly Max patches can be integrated into your workflow. Experienced Max users will have a chance to see how Live can enhance the Max experience. And, of course, there will be plenty of time to answer your questions.

Max for Live, new from Cycling '74 and Ableton, augments Ableton's Live digital audio workstation with the flexibility and customizability of the Max/MSP visual programming environment. Users can create Max devices to process audio or MIDI, build unique synthesizers, control Live's GUI, process notes in Live clips using the live.api objects, or take advantage of Max's ability to "convert anything into anything" and work with video, external hardware or software.

Jeremy Bernstein splits his time between audio and video work and developing software. His sound- and image-based projects and collaborations have been presented throughout Europe and North America. He's worked with Cycling '74 since 2000, where he is a co-developer of the Max/MSP/Jitter visual programming environment. He lives in Berlin, Germany.
