Ableton Live 8 and KJ Sawka at Guitar Center Seattle

Guitar Center Seattle will host a special event on Tuesday, May 12th. Seattle's own Kevin Sawka (aka KJ Sawka) will perform and discuss his work, including how he incorporates technology such as Ableton Live into his inspiring virtuoso drum performances. Kevin infuses his acoustic drumming with next-generation electronic jungle, drum'n'bass and breakbeats. Add to this the power of technology, samplers, laptops and drum triggers, and he's a veritable orchestra of percussive wizardry. Also on hand for the evening will be Dave Hill Jr., Managerial Director at Ableton Inc. Dave has worked for Ableton since 2003, and he wrote the book Ableton Live 2 Power before joining Ableton. Dave will interview Mr. Sawka and demonstrate the new features in Ableton Live 8. He will also show off a prototype of the soon-to-be-released Akai APC40, the first hardware controller built especially for use with Ableton Live. Anyone buying Live 8 at the event will receive a free Ableton DJ bag!
