Ableton teams up with DIS-PATCH Festival once more for workshops in Serbia and — for the first time — in Macedonia

Serbia and the SEE region's leading festival of cutting-edge music and related arts is collaborating with Ableton once more in 2009, bringing music production and sound design knowledge to the suburbs of Europe. Prior to the already traditional collaboration in Belgrade through a workshop, presentation and track competition, Ableton and Dis-patch also visit Macedonia for the first time as part of the premier de:sonanz festival of electronic music, which will be held at various venues in Skopje Sept 30th - Oct 2nd, with performances by Alec Empire, T.Raumschmiere, Tarwater, Tilman Ehrhorn and more. This is the first festival event of its kind in Macedonia, which makes Ableton's presence even more special. Both workshops in Belgrade and Skopje will be led by Goran Simonoski, a member of the Dis-patch team and acclaimed producer under the Piece of Shh... alias.

A few weeks after Skopje, Ableton will once again be presented in Belgrade, as part of the workshop program of Dis-patch, which runs its main program from October 29th until November 7th. The 8th edition will present Vladislav Delay as Artist in Focus (five concerts form various Delay projects + his first sound installation premiere), video artist Lillevan as Artist in Residence collaborating on a commission inspired by the kinetic art of Victor Vasarely, as well as the likes of Pan Sonic, Kode 9 & The Spaceape, Kim Hiorthoy, Secondo, Mika Vainio, AM/PM and more.
