New Singapore User Group: first meeting October 10th

The Sound Channel (www.thesoundchannel.com.sg) will host the inaugural meeting of ALUGS--Ableton Live User Group Singapore--on October 10, 2009.

Because it's the first meeting, we'll focus on Live basics, looking at:

1. Introduction to Ableton Live, the growth of Live and the benefits it offers over other DAWs
2. Overview of Session View
3. Overview of Arrangement View
4. A look at Live's menus
5. Setting up VST, MIDI controllers and ReWire
6. Basic recording in Session and Arrangement Views

Required: Bodies and minds, laptops, audio interfaces, cables, controllers and, of course, Ableton Live

Mixers and PA system will be provided.
