SoundCloud goes public

Last Friday, our friends at SoundCloud announced their official public launch. SoundCloud is a web platform that makes it easy for music professionals to send, receive and distribute large music files over the internet.

Tracks can either be passed on privately to selected contacts or made available to the public, via either the platform itself or embedded into web pages, blogs or social network profiles. Users can also access their own online music inbox where they can listen to incoming tracks in place (no download necessary!) and write feedback. SoundCloud's unique commenting system allows users to place comments inside of tracks, making this a perfect tool for collaboration.
