Red Bull Music Academy — Apply Now!You can still apply for a place at the Red Bull Music Academy! The Red Bull Music Academy is a creative workshop where 60 fortunate young music makers, vocalists and DJs get to rub shoulders with well-established producers, DJs, musicians, composers, arrangers and engineers. This year, the academy is in Barcelona. It's a fantastic chance to gain some insider know-how, experience the latest music hardware and software and build up a worldwide network of friends and collaborators. Past guests have included Peter Hook, Just Blaze, the Mizell Brothers, Bernard Purdie and Carl Craig. We're happy to support this event and proud to say that Ableton Live features prominently in the workshops. The application phase is open until May 5th 2008. Application CD-ROMs are available from all the best record stores; or simply log in to the "apply" section of www.redbullmusicacademy.com to download the application form. Applicants must be passionate about music, and they must be born on or before September 21, 1990 so that they can attend gigs in licensed venues in Barcelona. Other than that, anyone with an original approach to music and a desire to learn and share ideas has a chance to be one of the 60 selected participants.
